오륜대 한국순교자박물관
부산 금정구 오륜대 순교자 성지에 자리한 박물관으로 1982년 개관했으며, 한국순교복자수녀회가 설립하여 운영하고 있다. 1866년 병인박해 때 순교한 부산·동래 지역 순교자들의 유해와 유품을 비롯해, 박해 시대에 쓰인 형구, 조선 후기 교회사 문헌, 신자들이 쓰던 십자가와 상본, 그리고 조선 시대의 민속 유물까지 방대한 소장품을 갖추고 있다. 특히 순교자들의 유해가 모셔진 경내 묘역은 이 박물관이 단순한 전시관이 아니라 기억과 기도의 자리임을 말해 준다. 형구의 차가운 쇠붙이와 신자들이 몰래 간직했던 작은 십자가를 나란히 보고 있으면, 신앙의 자유가 없던 시대를 살아낸 보통 사람들의 믿음이 얼마나 절실한 것이었는지 피부로 느껴진다. 수녀회가 수십 년에 걸쳐 자료를 모으고 지켜 온 정성 또한 순교자들을 기억하려는 후손들의 신앙 고백이라 할 만하다. 개신교 순례자에게도 이곳은 이 땅에 먼저 뿌려진 순교의 피를 기억하며 오늘의 신앙을 돌아보게 하는 곳이다. 회동수원지가 내려다보이는 성지 일대의 산책로와 십자가의 길을 함께 걸으며 조용한 묵상으로 방문을 마무리해 보자.
Oryundae Korean Martyrs' Museum — Busan Geumjeong-gu
Opened in 1982 at the Oryundae martyrs' shrine in Busan and run by the Sisters of the Korean Martyrs, this museum holds the remains and relics of local martyrs of the 1866 persecution, along with torture instruments, church documents, crosses and devotional objects once hidden by believers, and folk artifacts of late Joseon. The martyrs' graves within the grounds make clear that this is a place of memory and prayer, not merely display. Seeing the cold iron of the torture instruments beside the small crosses believers secretly treasured, one feels the desperate earnestness of ordinary people who lived and died without religious freedom. The shrine grounds overlooking Hoedong reservoir, with their walking paths, invite a reflective close to the visit.
