부산 오륜대한국순교자박물관
부산 금정구 오륜대 순교자 성지에 자리한 박물관으로, 1866년 병인박해 때 순교한 부산·경남 지역 신자들을 기리는 곳이다. 병인박해는 조선 천주교 사상 가장 혹독한 박해로, 전국에서 수천 명의 신자가 목숨을 잃었으며 동래 지역에서도 신자들이 체포되어 처형당했다. 박물관은 박해 시대에 실제 사용된 형구와 초기 교회 유물, 순교자들의 유해와 유품, 조선 교회사 문헌들을 소장·전시하여 신앙의 자유가 없던 시대의 실상을 생생하게 전한다. 회동수원지가 내려다보이는 성지 경내에는 순교자들의 묘와 기념 성당, 십자가의 길이 조성되어 있어 전시 관람과 야외 묵상을 함께 할 수 있다. 이름이 널리 알려진 순교 성인들만이 아니라 기록조차 희미한 무명의 신자들이 이 지역에서 믿음을 지키다 스러져 갔음을 전시는 일깨워 준다. 항구 도시 부산에 복음이 자유롭게 전해지기까지 앞선 세대가 치른 값을 증언하는 자리로, 개신교 순례자에게도 훗날의 자유로운 선교가 먼저 흘린 피 위에 가능했음을 돌아보게 한다. 박물관 관람 후에는 회동수원지 둘레길을 따라 걸으며 묵상의 시간을 이어가 보자.
Oryundae Korean Martyrs Museum — Busan Geumjeong-gu
Located at the Oryundae martyrs' shrine in Busan's Geumjeong district, this museum honors the Catholics of the Busan-Gyeongnam region martyred in the persecution of 1866, the harshest in Korean Catholic history, when thousands died across the country and believers from the Dongnae area were arrested and executed. Its collections include actual instruments of torture, relics and possessions of the martyrs, and documents of early Korean church history. The shrine grounds overlooking Hoedong reservoir hold martyrs' graves, a memorial church, and stations for outdoor reflection. The stories of both famous martyrs and nameless local believers testify to the price paid before the gospel could enter this port city freely — a sobering witness for pilgrims of every tradition.
