나인 과부 아들 부활 교회

나인 과부 아들 부활 교회는 모레 산 북쪽 비탈, 나사렛에서 남쪽으로 약 14km 떨어진 작은 마을 나인에 있다. 이 교회의 기원은 4~5세기 비잔틴 시대로 거슬러 올라가며, 현재의 건물은 1881년 프란치스코회가 재건한 것이다. 이곳은 누가복음 7장 11~17절의 무대다. 예수께서 제자들과 나인 성문에 이르렀을 때 죽은 외아들의 장례 행렬을 만나셨고, 홀로 남겨진 과부를 불쌍히 여겨 관에 손을 대시고 '청년아 내가 네게 말하노니 일어나라' 하시니 죽은 자가 살아났다. 이는 복음서에 기록된 예수의 세 차례 죽은 자 살리심 가운데 하나로, 나사로와 야이로의 딸 사건과 나란히 선다. 특히 나인 사건은 누구도 살려 달라 청하지 않았는데 예수께서 스스로 긍휼히 여겨 다가가셨다는 점에서 남다르다. 남편도 외아들도 잃은 과부는 당시 사회에서 생계와 보호를 모두 잃은 가장 연약한 처지였기에, 이 기적은 곧 버림받은 자를 향한 하나님의 자비를 드러낸다. 정직하게 말하면 현재 교회는 근대의 재건물이나, 나인이라는 마을과 사건의 배경은 확실하다. 평소에는 문이 닫혀 있어 순례팀이 방문할 때 개방되는 경우가 많으니, 미리 일정을 확인하는 것이 좋다.
Church of the Resurrection of the Widow's Son, Nain — Nain
The Church of the Resurrection of the Widow's Son stands on the northern slope of the Hill of Moreh, in the small village of Nain about 14km south of Nazareth. Its origin goes back to the Byzantine era of the 4th-5th centuries, and the present building was rebuilt by the Franciscans in 1881. This is the setting of Luke 7:11-17: as Jesus and His disciples reached the town gate, they met the funeral procession of a widow's only son. Moved with compassion for the bereaved mother, He touched the coffin and said, 'Young man, I say to you, arise,' and the dead man came back to life. It is one of the three raisings of the dead recorded in the Gospels, alongside Lazarus and Jairus' daughter. Honestly, the current church is a modern rebuild, though the village of Nain and the event's setting are certain.
